My partner Vince (now husband!) and I had decided on a humanist ceremony following a summer of attending a number of friends weddings and one ceremony truly stuck out for us which was our friends Anna and Patricks wedding which was a humanist ceremony, we just loved it!
We set out to find our ideal celebrant and consulted humanists.uk. After reading endless profiles for local celebrants, we drafted a list of half a dozen celebrants and made contact with them, following up with video calls.
The calibre was exceptionally high and everyone was extremely welcoming but for us there was one celebrant that really stood out because of her warmth, calmness, humour and understanding and that was Pip.
From the get go, Pip helped us tailor make our perfect ceremony and was on hand to answer all our endless questions and support us with our promises, vows, music choices, readings (which we had Pip searching high and low for until we settled on two perfect readings for us!).
We loved every minute of our planning meeting and when Pip sent through the first draft of our ceremony it had us in tears, it was so personal and captured our story perfectly. On to our wedding day, we decided to incorporate ring warming, handing fasting, readings, music, promises etc and it all flowed so beautifully. Pip even worked to incorporate a poem unknown to us written by all our nephews and nieces, it brought the room to tears!
Vince and I whole heartedly recommend Pip, she’s professional, personal, passionate about what she does and she really put her heart and soul into delivering an incredible ceremony.

Pip was amazing from start to finish.
We really enjoyed going down memory lane in our initial Zoom chats and subsequent homework. She not only managed to shape our scatter-brained ramblings into a beautiful, funny, heartfelt script that told the story of our relationship, but she was also endlessly patient, supportive and available throughout the whole process and put up with our frequent edits, questions and changed minds.
On the day, Pip's calmness really helped Michael's nerves beforehand, and her warm delivery of the ceremony set the tone for what was a really relaxed, bright and happy day.
Most, if not all, of our guests had never heard of a humanist ceremony before and were just blown away by how personal it was - there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Some said it was the best service they had ever been to and it left a few (particularly the groom's dad!) feeling highly emotional for the rest of the week.
A couple of people have already said they are swapping their ceremony for a humanist one which makes us so happy - we will definitely recommend Pip and Humanists UK to everyone

We simply couldn’t be more grateful for what Pip did for us before, during and past the wedding day.
There are barely any words to describe how she made us feel while she has become part of our lives ever since we started planning our elopement. She was truly the final piece to the bit and absolute rockstar whilst getting to know us.
Pip went always further then just extra mile by showing us around the Peaks or staying totally on top of everything when something would go south and as a support you would know she will always be friendly, heart warming, creative and absolute partner in crime, if you are planning secret wedding as we did.
The process of learning about our story, was so smooth, therapeutic and she showed her genuine interest in us as a couple, individuals and family, too.
She created a script so magical, it made the whole experience absolutely unforgettable, deeply touching and her leading the Humanist ceremony was professional and very personal topped by her amazing voice, sense of humour and huge help with our little daughter while we were exchanging vows.
We had no idea we would find a celebrant to become a wonderful friend of ours and we really hope we get to see our wedding fairy again. Thank you for being adventurous with us.

I honestly cannot recommend Pip enough. I’m so glad we found her for our wedding. After one conversation we knew she was the person for us, and she went above and beyond supporting us during the run-up to our wedding.
Sometimes things don’t go to plan (as I found out suffering from an injury and visiting hospital just days before the wedding) , but if you surround yourself with people like Pip, who loves her job and genuinely cares about you and your event, you will have all the support you need to make things work.
The actual ceremony was really personal & based on us and our story. Pip seemed to know the exact style and approach which suited us. So many of our guests mentioned that it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever been to and that it sounded like Pip had known us for years! One friend, who openly states that he hates weddings, even said ‘why can’t all wedding ceremonies be like that?!’ She was a huge hit with all our guests and I’m sure our paths will cross again.

Pip was amazing at our wedding! We had last minute changes of plans with the setting, and she helped and accommodated everything.
She was super upbeat, fun, and a joy to be around. So many of our guests said what an amazing celebrant she was, and that she really tied the wedding together.
She listened to everything we wanted to do (which wasn't traditional wedding ceremonies), and she allowed us to explore everything before settling on a perfect ceremony.
I've personally worked in the wedding industry for 10 years +, and Pip is a special one!

Pip is a fantastic celebrant and would be a great asset to anyone's wedding day. I would identify three stand out traits that deserve special praise: Involved, prepared, thoughtful.
Pip showed a real desire to get to know us and our relationship before drafting our wedding script. Working over a few meetings to learn about the unique elements that make our lives together special, and then communicate those to our guests.
The success of her work to do this was commented on by many guests - a few saying they felt like they had really learnt a lot about us even after knowing us for years. This kind of “personalised” ceremony was deeply moving and beautifully constructed - as could only have been done by someone that took a real interest in us.
The preparation before the big day was excellent, Pip covered all bases and left us feeling empowered to go into our ceremony knowing both what was coming and that it was in good hands. Pip was also encouraging and supporting on the day of the wedding. I’m delighted to recommend Pip to anyone for their wedding, you will not regret it!

Pip was fantastic and we cannot recomend her enough! We were a little unsure what we wanted for our ceremony. We only knew we wanted something that wasn't religious, but still felt traditional and meaningful. Pip guided us to create a beautiful, personal ceremony. It was everything we wanted.
The meetings we had with her before hand felt really comfortable and she teased the information out of us really easily. The script that she made from these details was so perfect! It really captured us and our relationship!
The service was beautiful. Pip has a great energy and warmth that was perfect for our relaxed, joyful ceremony. After the service many of our friends asked how Pip knew us, because they really felt she was a close friend. Many told us that it was the best wedding service they had been too.
